Abstract
|
|
|
Neoplastic fractures of trochanteric area of the femur are increased because of development of treatment for cancer.
For the treatment of neoplastic fracture of femur neck, total hip replacement is used frequently.
But if there is extensive destruction of trochanteric and subtrochanteric area by invasion of neoplasm, total hip replacement has several difficult problems. We report a case of treatment of extensive destruction of trochanteric region and proximal shaft with Harlaching pattern tumor prosthesis.
